About Me

My name is Sarah Kate.  I graduated from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN in May 2007.  I got my degree in Social Work, spending the spring semester of my senior year interning at an emergency shelter for at-risk youth called the Oasis Center.  I have a strong passion for working with adolescents and teenagers.  I also enjoy living out my faith through mission work.  Throughout high school and college, I did mission work in Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, and Ireland.  During the summers of 2005 and 2006, I spent several weeks as a camp counselor and youth mentor at Camp Shamrock in Northern Ireland.  This past spring, I was presented with the opportunity to participate in youth ministry missions with a church in Perth, Australia called Westchurch.  This blog site is meant to keep friends and family (and, really, anyone who stumbles across my page…) updated on my journey.  Please keep me in your prayers and continue to stay in touch.

 Blessings,

Sarah Kate

SK: It was pure joy to be with you in Perth. Your love of God and life-in-general is contageous. Just a note of thanks for rolling out the red carpet for the LU team. You are a true servant . . . just like the Christ you worship.
